Name a book you read in school that wasn’t entirely awful

I loved reading The Giver by Lois Lowry! It was really great! I really didn’t like most of the English book they made us read. But I reread The Giver for a second and third time!! I really recommend it. It’s about a boy named Jonas living in a utopia world (similar to The Hunger Games). However, he is chosen to see what the world is really about. He finds out about certain aspects of life (such as color, death, sex, war etc.) I won’t say much more, but it’s really great!

Now I want to read it again.
